You’re entitled to a deferral of up to one year per level of the JHUI Teacher Certification Program. If you’re gone for longer than one year, you don’t need to start from scratch! Just “reboot” your account in order to complete your certificate.

Please note: a Reboot does not include registration at a JHUI Institute. It gets you back on the certification track and allows you to submit your recordings, written test and portfolio for grading. To attend a JHUI Institute please register for your desired level or—if you’d like to repeat an institute at the same level—you have the option to attend as an auditing student.
